Geek Your World tidbit:
As the 1920’s came to an end and
more radio stations were coming on-air one receiver showed through as the must
have of the time. It was called the
Superhet. With the new stations the selectivity
provided by the Superhet receiver became very important.
Harman Kardon made the first
integrated stereo receiver and went for sale in 1958. It was called the Festival TA230 and used one
channel from the AM Band and one channel from the FM Band. HH Scott would later make the first true FM Multiplex
Stero Receiver in 1961, it was the Model 350 tuner.
